I specialise in International Intellectual Property Law and Policy in relation to cross-cutting issues in Investment Law/Arbitration and the protection of IP rights. I have been a Senior IP Consultant with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), carrying out IP economic impact studies, technical assistance and training. My expertise also encompasses international copyright law and collective management of copyright, IP issues related to data protection/privacy and data mining. I have also worked as a Senior Policy Advisor for the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC). One of my key policy projects is the WIPO Draft Guidelines on Assessing the Economic, Social and Cultural Impact of Copyright Law in the Creative Industries (Economy).
I am also a PhD Fellow at the Maastricht University Faculty of Law currently working on cross-cutting issues in international investment regulation and international intellectual property protection.
